You'll establish a professional portfolio demonstrating real district-leadership competencies, complete a hands-on internship and work through the program as a two-year cohort. The program holds accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), and USF is the only private university in South Dakota to earn it. By the end, you'll be eligible to apply for South Dakota's School Superintendent certification, stepping into roles that average $178,415* a year.

Admission Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Official transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended
3 years of verified experience on a valid certificate in an accredited K-12 school, 1 year of which include classroom teaching experience
Valid principal certificate or successful completion of a principal program that leads to certification
